    In Touch with the Sky: Automated system of reconnaissance, command and communication of forward air controller “Pustelga”

    The system is designed for directing aviation onto enemy ground targets and automates the process of guiding all types of helicopters and aircraft such as the Su-25, Yak-130, L-39, etc., to ground and aerial targets.
    Primary functions include:
    • Input, display, and transmition of information on the combat composition, deployment, combat capabilities of the army and friendly forces;
    • Receiving air situation information and transmitting it to the pilot’s tablet;
    • Providing data on the location of enemy objects and target designation for them to the pilot's tablet;
    • Calculating, plotting, and providing flight routes for combat missions to the pilot's tablet;
    • Performing preliminary air navigating flight calculations полета, etc.

    The system can be mounted on any type of chassis.
    The use of “Pustelga” within a unified reconnaissance-strike complex enables:
    • Increasing the depth of the Forward Air Controller’s guidance area by up to 10 times;
    • Improving the justification for selecting targets for airstrikes;
    • Reducing the reaction time of strike aircraft;
    • Increasing the reliability of target destruction;
    • Engaging (or designating) objects (including mobile ones) in any weather conditions, day and night (using the mode of navigational bombing);
    • Reducing losses of strike aircraft from enemy air defense systems.

    The complex allows for the full integration of the Forward Air Controller into a unified reconnaissance and command loop, solving one of the key problems: increasing the speed and accuracy of aviation guidance in conditions of intense countermeasures and saturated electronic warfare.
