    Future Engineers Get to Know AGAT: A Tour for Schoolchildren of the Pervomaysky District

    As part of career guidance work, on November 4th, AGAT opened its doors to students from engineering classes in the Pervomaysky District of Minsk. The event was attended by 24 high school students from 8 educational institutions in the district.
    The tour program was intensive and educational, allowing the students to immerse themselves in the world of high technology.
    Key points of the route:
    1. Introduction to the organization: Igor Bykov, who oversees the scientific activities of the organization, told the schoolchildren about the structure of AGAT and its holding company, its main projects, and emphasized the significance of these projects for the Republic of Belarus.
    2. Diving into development: In one of the special design departments, guests were shown the “Berkut-3” unmanned aerial system, witnessed the work of software developers, and learned about programming languages in demand at the company.
    3. From idea to finished product: Designers revealed to the teenagers the full cycle of developing design documentation using the example of the multi-purpose emergency service call device “UVS-M”. Tour participants were able to see how an idea, embodied in drawings, later becomes a finished product that saves the lives of drivers and passengers, which was vividly illustrated by a crash test video.
    4. Cybersecurity: At the specialized Cybersecurity Center, the deputy head of the Center, Yury Chernyshev, spoke about the importance of this field, which universities train such specialists, and gave advice on building a successful career in the IT sector;
    5. History and achievements: In the AGAT museum, schoolchildren saw models of manufactured products, the company’s numerous awards, and learned about its main achievements.
    The distinctive feature of the tour was that it was not only introductory but also career-oriented. AGAT representatives spoke in detail about universities that train specialists in the fields most in demand in their departments and invited the high school students to come for internships in the future with the prospect of subsequent employment.
    The initiative resonated well: students interested in working at the enterprise left their contact details for more detailed information about admission and future job placement. The schoolchildren have already expressed a desire to visit AGAT again during the spring break to see the production sites and equipment samples.
    We hope this meeting will be the first step towards seeing these talented young people among our future employees.
