On February 15, a meeting was held with the staff members of “AGAT – Control Systems” dedicated to the investigation of the criminal case of the genocide of the Belarusian people. Mr. Valery Tolkachev, who is the head of the General Prosecutor’s Office and a leader of the investigation team, Colonel of Justice spoke to the AGAT personnel. He shared relevant information that was established during excavations, search operations, interviews with victims and witnesses, and spoke about other ongoing activities.

It should be reminded that the criminal process launched by the General Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the facts of genocide is aimed at identifying specific individuals from among the German invaders and their accomplices who managed to avoid responsibility for the murder of civilians, abuse and torture in concentration camps and ghettos, and the mass deportation of civilians into German slavery.

The information from the criminal case will allow international organizations to raise the issue of recognizing Belarus as a victim of genocide and stop attempts to devalue historical truth.
