Flower-laying ceremony on the Day of Remembrance of Peacekeeping Soldiers

 

On February 15, the Republic of Belarus celebrates the Day of Remembrance of Peacekeeping Soldiers. 35 years ago on this day, the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan ended. Events were held throughout the country to commemorate the soldiers of the Afghan war who fulfilled their international duty with honor.

Veterans and youth of the Company took part in a ceremonial event of laying flowers and wreaths at the memorial complex “Island of Courage and Sorrow,” where Afghan veterans traditionally gather to honor the memory of comrades who did not return from the battlefield.
