A thematic meeting “Information protection and information security technologies” was held within the framework of the VII Belarus ICT Summit and the TIBO-2024 forum. The organizers are the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of The Republic of Belarus, OJSC “AGAT – Control Systems” – Managing company of “Geoinformation Control Systems” Holding and CJSC “Technics and Communications”.

The moderator of the thematic meeting was Alexander Slabodchikov, Head of the Cybersecurity Center of OJSC “AGAT – Control Systems”.

The program covered the entire range of fundamental issues related to the construction of an information security system: the legislative framework, software and hardware, the appearance of modern cyber threats and vectors of cyber-attacks, the production and localization of cryptographic information protection systems.

The guests of the event were addressed by leading experts from Belarus, representatives of the Operations and Analysis Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus, telecommunications companies, vendors and developers of information security solutions.

In the presence of software and hardware information security tools, the most important is the specific practical experience of their use and implementation. It was on this issue that Alexander Slabodchikov, head of the Cybersecurity Center of our company, shared his expert opinion. The report on the topic “Experience in countering cyber-attacks of the Cybersecurity Center” provided practical examples of monitoring and responding to cyber-attacks by hacker groups on information systems of customer companies.

The participants and speakers of the meeting discussed these and other practical issues, which shows reaching a new qualitative level not only in understanding modern challenges and threats to information security, but also in developing a database of solutions, enriching expertise, and developing hardware and software solutions for cybersecurity.
